Fairbanks Alaska Aurora Borealis 2000

Fairbanks, Alaska under cloud cover as seen from the Tanana Valley Forest
at an elevation of 1300 ft and a distance of approximately 20 miles to the west.
Shining through this strong Northern Lights display, the planets Saturn and
Jupiter are aligned with Aldebaran and the Pleiades star cluster. An outburst
of auroral activity is occurring at the most eastern part of the display during
this 10 sec. exposure.
