Jupiter, Saturn and the Pleiades - March 31, 2001


Aurora Borealis Jupiter Saturn Pleiades

This multi-colored auroral display occurred on March 31, 2001 during a
strong geomagnetic storm following the impact of a powerful coronal mass
ejection. Jupiter and Saturn are aligned with Aldebaran in Taurus and
the Pleiades star cluster. The scene was captured in Fairbanks, Alaska.
